Evaluate the technology
on your own products.
Evaluate product quality before introducing a new technology.
KEMP helps select a suitable plating or coating system, apply it to prototype parts and evaluate performance.
Three steps to sample evaluation
Plating and Coating Specification
We define the surface-treatment specification and target plating or coating thickness based on the material, geometry, drawing tolerances and service environment. Evaluation criteria reflect the required corrosion resistance and post-plating fabrication conditions.
Sample Plating and Coating
We apply suitable plating or coating systems under production-relevant conditions. Drawing on experience across different materials and processes, we support sample application and suitability evaluation for a range of metal products.
Quality Evaluation
Our in-house R&D and quality teams evaluate performance against customer specifications and use solution analysis and process data to control quality. The results guide initial approval and production inspection criteria.
Information to include with your inquiry
Include the information below where available. Sample-treatment conditions, quantities, costs, shipping arrangements and the evaluation schedule will be agreed with your KEMP contact before proceeding.
- Material and GeometryMaterial grade, dimensions, key fabricated features and the existing surface treatment
- Service EnvironmentInstallation location, indoor or outdoor use, and exposure to salt, moisture or heat
- Performance RequirementsCoating thickness, corrosion resistance, appearance, applicable standards and test conditions
- Project PlanEvaluation purpose, anticipated volumes and preferred schedule
