KEMP Receives the Ulsan Mayor's Award for Inno-Biz Excellence

KEMP received the Ulsan Mayor's Award in recognition of its business achievements at the ceremony held at Hotel Nongshim in Busan on April 24, 2024.

At the time of the announcement, the Busan–Ulsan chapter represented a region with approximately 1,100 Inno-Biz companies and had more than 400 member companies.

Inno-Biz combines Innovation and Business and refers to technology-innovative SMEs that compete through technical strengths.

The assessment emphasizes future growth potential, supported by R&D capabilities and sound business foundations.

The program reflects the wider importance of technology-innovative SMEs to industrial development and national competitiveness.

Established in 2002, the Inno-Biz Association supports the certification program, job creation initiatives and government and local support programs. The announcement reported nine regional chapters, including the Busan–Ulsan chapter, established on April 11, 2013.

KEMP's CEO accepted the Ulsan Mayor's Award at the Inno-Biz Association's Busan–Ulsan chapter annual meeting and awards ceremony.

KEMP has commercialized Innozinc, which it describes as a fourth-generation zinc-treatment process, with proprietary pretreatment, post-treatment, bath chemistry and equipment. It is also pursuing digital transformation of Ceramic Galvanizing operations.
