KEMP Named a Youth-Friendly Small Giant for 2022
KEMP was selected as a Youth-Friendly Small Giant for 2022 by Korea's Ministry of Employment and Labor, in recognition of workplace conditions valued by young employees.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor selects small, competitive companies that offer working conditions sought by young people.
Launched in 2016, the program aims to improve perceptions of smaller businesses and help young people find quality jobs with them.
For the 2022 program, the ministry selected 800 companies in each of three categories: pay, work–life balance and employment stability. After removing overlaps between categories, 1,214 companies were recognized.
The assessment covers pay, work–life balance and employment stability.
Companies selected for the 2022 program performed strongly in areas such as pay and recruitment compared with the general company group. KEMP was among the businesses recognized.
For the selected-company group, reported 2020 median and average pay were KRW 3.05 million and KRW 3.23 million, respectively—KRW 1.05 million and KRW 1.06 million above the general company group. These are program-wide figures, not KEMP-specific salary figures.

From January to October 2021, the selected-company group hired an average of 16.3 employees per company. Young people accounted for 69.3%, or 11.3 employees per company. These figures exceeded the general company group by 4.1 new hires overall and 6.4 young hires per company.
As of October 2021, young people made up 48% of employees in the selected-company group, 19 percentage points above the general company group's 29%.
At the time of the announcement, the program offered benefits including tailored recruitment support, preferential financial and tax-administration treatment, and additional assessment points for designated military-service employment programs.
